(2) Gear grinding by generating method
Grinding teeth with a conical surface grinding wheel: The cross-sectional tooth shape of the grinding wheel is an imaginary rack tooth shape, and the workpiece is rolled to the right. Use the right side of the grinding wheel to grind the right side of the first tooth slot, from the root to the top; Then, the workpiece rolls to the left, grinding the left side of the first tooth slot with the left side of the grinding wheel, also grinding from the root to the top. When both sides of the first tooth slot are completely ground, the grinding wheel automatically retracts from the workpiece, and the workpiece rotates in degrees. Then, the workpiece rolls to the right, grinding the second tooth slot, and this cycle is repeated until all the teeth have been ground.



2. Tooth grinding:
IT7~IT6,Ra:1.6~0.2 μ Equipment: gear grinding machine. Grinding tool: precision cast iron gear. Abrasive agent: abrasive particles: 220 #~240 #, active lubricating oil characteristics: the same as honing teeth, can only reduce surface roughness, cannot improve tooth shape accuracy.
Parallel axis grinding method:
1. Process: The grinding wheel is parallel to the axis of the gear to be ground. During grinding, the gear to be ground drives the grinding wheel to engage freely without backlash. The gear to be ground also reciprocates axially, and the grinding wheel is slightly braked. After a period of time, the grinding wheel and the grinding wheel rotate in reverse direction, so that both sides of the teeth are evenly ground.
2. Features: Due to uneven sliding speed and grinding amount on the tooth surface, the sliding speed and grinding amount on the tooth top and root are large, and the grinding amount is also large.
Gear transmission with moving axis
