How to Maintain Flanges Used in Daily Chemical Equipment

Rubber is generally used as the fabric layer of acid-resistant equipment in chemical enterprises. The most common corrosive damaged part of rubber lining equipment is the flange joint. Often due to poor sealing between flange surfaces, there is a small leakage, so that the carbon steel flange in the acid corrosion, showing a gap or uneven. The usual method of amendment is to replace the flange joint and to liner it with glue from scratch.

However, when removing the original flange joint and welding the new flange joint, because of the effect of high temperature current during construction, the lining of other parts of the equipment will be seriously affected, and even a large area of lining damage will occur. Moreover, this method has a long construction period, more types of work and is difficult to construct. The XK203 corrosion resistant coating material developed by the Machinery Equipment Correction Center adopts the method of cold sticking, which can be used to deal with the above problems.

Firstly, the residual rubber and rust impurities in the damaged part of the rubber fabric are cleaned up to make the repaired part expose the fresh metal base material, which is clean and dull, so as to achieve the desired repairing effect. Composition: According to the mass ratio of 5:1, XK203 corrosion-resistant coating material A and B components are mixed evenly and coated on the parts to be corrected.

It is advisable not to exceed 2 kg each time. The glue should be used up within 30 minutes to avoid rubbish caused by curing. When mixing, it must be mixed evenly. When the temperature is low, XK203 corrosion-resistant coating material can be heated by water bath of component A alone. Place the plastic bucket in a small bucket with boiling water (water should not be allowed to enter the glue).
