Stainless steel piston rod is mainly used for piston rod of hydraulic and pneumatic, engineering machinery, automobile manufacturing, guide pillar of plastic machinery, roller of packaging machinery and printing machinery, axis of textile machinery and conveying machinery, and linear optical axis of linear motion. Due to the residual compressive stress on the surface layer, the piston rod is rolled, which helps to close the surface micro cracks and hinders the expansion of erosion. So as to improve the surface corrosion resistance, and can delay the generation or expansion of fatigue cracks, so as to improve the fatigue strength of the cylinder rod. Through rolling forming, a cold work hardening layer is formed on the rolling surface, which reduces the elastic and plastic deformation of the contact surface of the grinding pair, improves the wear resistance of the cylinder rod surface, and avoids the burn caused by grinding. After rolling, the decrease of surface roughness can improve the matching properties. At the same time, it reduces the friction damage to the seal ring or seal when the cylinder rod piston moves, and improves the overall service life of the cylinder. After rolling, the surface roughness of oil cylinder rod decreases from ra3.2 ~ 6.3um before rolling to Ra0.4 ~ 0.8um, the surface hardness of oil cylinder rod increases by 30%, and the surface fatigue strength of oil cylinder rod increases by 25%. The service life of oil cylinder is increased by 2-3 times, and the efficiency of rolling process is increased by 15 times compared with grinding process. The above data show that the rolling process is efficient and can greatly improve the surface quality of the cylinder rod.
